Farsley Westroyd Primary School and Nursery is a small, nurturing, friendly, child centred, community school at the heart of Farsley village in West Leeds.  We have a strong historical heritage and are proud of our role in the history of the local community and the strong local links that we continue to promote. At Westroyd we are a large family and we all have a role to play in ensuring we are all safe, we all achieve and we enjoy our time in school.  Pupils are proud to be Westroyd pupils and there is a strong sense of belonging to our family and learning together. Throughout their time with us, the children are encouraged to explore their own uniqueness and be confident and proud of who they are, which in turn promotes mutual respect. At Westroyd we care and support each other without exception, celebrating our  diversity and capitalising upon the opportunity to learn from each others strengths.  We always believe, at Westroyd that we will be successful and we do not let barriers or excuses get in the way of having fun and achieving.
